Mo Dao Sou Shi is a series of Japanese stage productions, based on an adaptation of the original novel by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.
The play was first performed in Tokyo from March 22nd to 30th, 2025, and in Kyoto from April 4th to 6th, 2025. The final performance on April 6th was live-streamed on Zaiko.
A second edition, covering the Yi City arc, is scheduled for performance in Tokyo from March 2026 and Kyoto in April 2026.[1]
After four cultivation clans united to overthrow the oppressive Qishan Wen Clan, one of the most prominent cultivators to arise in the tumultuous aftermath was Wei Wuxian, but fear over his use of the Ghostly Path led to his demise in a ferocious battle, during which his body was torn apart. Thirteen years later, Wei Wuxian is revived by a forbidden ritual and reunites with his former acquaintance Lan Wangji. As the two begin to pursue the case of a dismembered body, they uncover the truth about what occurred thirteen years ago, and their feelings for each other.
