Like, the Editor's Guide, the Reference Style Guide is meant to facilitate and streamline to the standards outlined below. As the wiki expands and the primary resources referenced or preferred coding changes, this guide may be subject to updates. Please check frequently.
Basic Instructions[]
Linked references will appear as footnotes at the bottom of the page. References should appear after periods and commas. Do not put a space between the reference and article text.
To create a reference, use the {{Ref}} template and follow the instructions in the documentation of the template. The template will automatically generate the correct format for you, linking the chapter or episode to the corresponding article in the wiki, as well as the "name" of the reference, allowing you to repeat a reference to the same source.
Format: {{Ref|<medium>|<chapter/episode>}}
On the bottom of the page, add a {{Reflist}} template to include a references list.
Source Type[]

To cite chapters of the Novel:
Example: {{Ref|novel|103}}

It is occasionally appropriate to cite an alternative version, such as the original Chinese to clarify a matter, or the earlier fan translations to showcase different translation styles in "Trivia" sections. To cite these, include a tag for the version in brackets as shown below:
− Example: <ref>Novel, Chapter 1 [Original Chinese]</ref>[1]
− Example: <ref>Novel, Chapter 1 [Exiled Rebel Trans.]</ref>[2]
− Example: <ref>Novel, Chapter 1 [Fan Yiyi Trans.]</ref>[3]
− Example: <ref>Novel, Chapter 1 [Taming Wangxian Trans.]</ref>[4]
