Qin Cangye (秦苍业, Qín Cāngyè) is one of Jin Guangshan's closest allies and the leader of the Laoling Qin Clan.

He is said to be a proud man, as he was hesitant to let his daughter Qin Su marry the someone of Jin Guangyao's birth.[1]
He seems to have been close with his daughter, as Jin Guangyao suggests sending Qin Su away to visit her father after she discovers the truth of their relationship.[2]
History[]
Qin Cangye was a staunch supporter of Jin Guangshan and Lanling Jin Clan. However, he was unaware that Jin Guangshan once raped his wife Madam Qin, and as a result, Qin Su is not his biological daughter.[3]
He was initially against the idea of Qin Su's marriage to Jin Guangyao, but the latter managed to convince him after a long while. Ironically, Qin Cangye's hesitance was precisely why Jin Guangyao and Qin Su slept together before marriage.[1]
He is traveling at the time of Qin Su's suicide in Golden Carp Tower.[2]
The Novel does not describe his reaction to Bicao's revelations that his wife was assaulted by his best friend and that Qin Su was not his biological daughter.

At first, Qin Cangye did not consider Jin Guangyao a suitable match for his daughter due to his mother's status.[2] Jin Guangyao eventually managed to satisfy him,[1] and afterwards, he was rumored to have been a strong ally of Jin Guangyao.[3]
