Liebing (裂冰, Lièbīng) is Lan Xichen's xiao. The xiao is a Chinese end-blown vertical flute usually made of bamboo.
Description[]
Liebing is made from white jade, and when not in use, it hangs from Lan Xichen's waist.[1]
Use[]
Lan Xichen uses Liebing to duet with Lan Wangji's guqin to suppress the Fierce Corpse of Nie Mingjue in an abandoned garden in Tanzhou.[2]
With Liebing, Lan Xichen blows a mourning note for his mother after telling Wei Wuxian the tragic story of his parents' marriage.[3]
Later, at the Guanyin Temple, Lan Xichen use Liebing to duet with Wangji, playing spiritual music in an attempt to calm Nie Mingjue's fierce corpse.[4]
Web Series Divergence[]
In the Web Series, Lan Xichen uses Liebing to soothe a tense situation when the Qishan Wen Clan arrives to interrupt the Gusu Lan Clan's entrance ceremony.[5] He also uses Liebing against the Waterborne Abyss.[6]
