Jinzhu (金姝, Jīnzhū) and Yinzhu (银姝, Yínzhū) are Yu Ziyuan's trusted maids.
Appearance[]
Jinzhu and Yinzhu are slender young women, with one taller than the other.[1] Both are noted to wear armor.[2]
Personality[]
Jinzhu and Yinzhu are utterly devoted to their mistress, as they never left her side.[1]
Like their mistress, they are angered by Wang Lingjiao's airs, and wear expressions of delight when Madam Yu finally slaps her.[2]
History[]
Jinzhu and Yinzhu had accompanied Madam Yu from the Meishan Yu Clan to the Yunmeng Jiang Clan. They live in the same quarters as their mistress in Lotus Pier.[1]
When Wang Lingjiao visits Lotus Pier and orders them to make her tea, Yinzhu coldly informs her that she should make it herself, while Jinzhu elaborates that the servants of Yunmeng Jiang Clan have more important things to do than brew tea.[2]
Both women restrain Jiang Cheng when Yu Ziyuan attempts to pacify Wang Lingjiao by whipping Wei Wuxian with Zidian. Once Madam Yu slaps Wang Lingjiao, Yinzhu and Jinzhu interpreted their mistress's single look as a command to kill the Qishan Wen Clan cultivators accompanying her.[3]
They are presumably killed alongside Madam Yu during the massacre of Lotus Pier.[4]
Abilities & Weapons[]
- Swordsmanship: Both Jinzhu and Yinzhu show exceptional swordsmanship, as they are capable of killing all of the Qishan Wen Clan cultivators accompanying Wang Lingjiao within seconds.[3]
- Spiritual Whip: Jinzhu and Yinzhu fight with sizzling whips that resemble Madam Yu's Zidian.[3]
Relationships[]
Yu Ziyuan[]
Madam Yu notes that her personal maids have never served anyone else, and that they were no ordinary maids. Under her watch, no one would dare discipline them.[2] The three women are close enough that Jinzhu and Yinzhu can understand their mistress's intentions with a single look.[3]
Wei Wuxian[]
Wei Wuxian expresses worry that Jinzhu and Yinzhu spy on him for Madam Yu.[2]
