Jiangzai (降灾, Jiàngzāi) is Xue Yang's sword.
Description[]
Jiangzai is described as emitting a black aura, a great contrast to Shuanghua's silver radiance. Its glare is both grim and dark.[1]
Use[]
As a guest disciple of the Lanling Jin Clan, Xue Yang uses Jiangzai to threaten vendors. When he encounters Song Lan, both Song Lan and Xiao Xingchen note his unusually savage fighting style.[2]
During a fight with Song Lan in Yi City, Xue Yang pulls Jiangzai out from a modified Qiankun Bag in his right sleeve. He proceeds to use his sword to remove Song Lan's tongue.[3]
Once Lan Wangji arrives to prevent Xue Yang from kidnapping Wei Wuxian, Xue Yang seamlessly uses both Shuanghua and Jiangzai to fight Lan Wangji. Xue Yang expresses that he is honored to learn that Lan Wangji knows the name of his sword. Once Lan Wangji captures Shuanghua, Xue Yang uses only Jiangzai to battle Lan Wangji.[1]
Web Series Divergence[]
In the Web Series, Jiangzai takes the form of a normal jian; but later it demonstrated the ability to transform into a double-bladed sword.[4]
