The unnamed Innkeeper is a minor character in the Novel.
Appearance[]
The Innkeeper's appearance is not described.
Personality[]
The innkeeper is a friendly, enthusiastic host, as she nearly draggs Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian inside.[1] When Wei Wuxian requests strong liquor, she provides the strongest she has.[2]
She seems rational and free with her opinions, as she openly criticizes the leader of the Yunmeng Jiang Clan's policy that people must be dead from evil spirits before they will intervene.[2]
History[]
The innkeeper moved to Yunping City about eight years prior to the novel's timeline.[2] She is noted to employ only women to work at her inn.[3]
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji encounter the innkeeper during their investigation in Yunping City. She enthusiastically welcomes them to her inn, before deciding herself that one room was large enough for the two of them.[1]
The innkeeper readily provides them information on the age of the Guanyin Temple, along with gossip about the Yunmeng Jiang Clan's unreasonable demands.[2]
Later, when the drunken Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian provide her with a chicken they had stolen, she thanks them despite her confusion.[3] When customers complain of water drainage due to the spilling of Lan Wangji's tub, she readily investigates and provides new rooms for the two.[4]
