Immortal-Binding Nets (张缚仙网, Zhāng Fù Xiān Wǎng) are expensive magical tools capable of trapping gods, demons, spirits, monsters, and humans.[1]
Description[]
The golden threads are thin, but difficult to break except when a weapon or tool of superior spiritual power is used on them.[1]
A variant called Immortal-Binding Ropes are used to keep the juniors trapped in the Demon-Quelling Cave during the Second Siege of the Burial Mounds.[2]
Use[]
Jiang Cheng purchases four hundred immortal-binding nets and sets them up all over Dafan Mountain to aid Jin Ling during the night-hunt for the soul-stealing entity.
The rural cultivation clan that Wei Wuxian meets on the way to Dafan Mountain falls into the nets' trap twice. Although Jin Ling refuses to release them after the second time, they are ultimately freed when Wei Wuxian borrows Jin Ling’s sword, Suihua.[1] Eventually, all four hundred nets are broken by Lan Wangji, who considers the use of so many nets as a violation of the rules of night-hunting.[1]
Trivia[]
The original fan translation referred to these nets as "Deity-Binding Nets."[3]
