The Ash Summoning Spell (焚灰引魂这种, Fén Huī Yǐn Hún Zhè Zhǒng, lit. 'Burning ashes to attract the soul') is a low-level Demonic Cultivation spell exclusively used in the Animation.
Description[]
The spell appears to involve the use of Talismans to possess Paper Effigies into doing the caster's bidding. After the task is complete, the Paper Effigies dissolve.[1]
Use[]
While hiding from the horde of Undead in Yi City, Wei Wuxian uses the Ash-Summoning spell to dispatch over a hundred Walking Corpses. It is through his proficiency with the spell that Xue Yang discerns his identity as the founder of Demonic Cultivation.[1]
Trivia[]
The Ash-Summoning Spell seems to replace Final Eyes Summoning from the Novel and other adaptations, though Final Eyes Summoning is used later in the animation.[1]
